SBCC Athletics to Host Casino Night on May 6

The Santa Barbara City College Athletics Department will be hosting a Casino Night Fundraiser on Sunday, May 6 at the Carriage Museum in Santa Barbara. The event features many fun activities and will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The event will feature traditional casino games, food, drink, entertainment, door prizes and a silent auction of sports memoribilia. There will a number of raffle prizes available for guests to win.

"We are excited to try something new and fun that we hope the community could enjoy," said Athletics Director Rocco Constantino. "Casino Nights are a little more unique and we hope that our SBCC family could come out for a great night of camaraderie and fun to support SBCC Athletics."

The funds raised by the event will be used to underwrite operating costs as well as helping to fund some facility upgrades.

Tickets for the event are $40 and could be obtained by contacting Constantino (rfconstantino@sbcc.edu) or any SBCC coach on staff. Tickets include entry to the event, two drink tickets, light dinner, $200 in casino chips and entry into the drawing for the door prizes.

Patrons who participate in gambling activities will be able to exchange their chips for raffle tickets, which they then could put into drawings for the raffle prizes for the event. Raffle winners will be drawn towards the close of the evening.

"We are thankful for our generous sponsors and donors whose contributions will make this event great," said Constantino. "I also am happy that the Carriage Museum is able to host us for this event.  It's a great, historical landmark in the city and I believe people will enjoy the experience of being there. We already have a number of great prizes and hope to gather more leading up to the event.  We are still seeking prizes and donors and if anyone is interested in participating, they can contact me directly."

The historic Carriage Museum is located at 129 Castillo Street in Santa Barbara and there is parking on the premises.
