Athletic Training Program

 
 The student athletic training program is an opportunity to experience a field of study in sports medicine. The program at Santa Barbara City College will teach and prepare the student athletic trainer to transfer to an accredited program.

 The class associated with the program is PE290 work experience. This class can be taken from 1-4 units.  Each unit consists of 60 volunteer hours. The program teaches the 6 domains of athletic training.There are pictures below of the student’s who voted by their peers to be Student Athletic Trainer of the semester. Also, at the end of each semester we have a taping competition which is the highlight of the student’s volunteer time here.

 The application process for entering this program is as follows: Completion of HE104 (Introduction to Athletic Injuries) with a B or better. First Aid and CPR must be current.

 There is an application, personal statement and unofficial transcripts required by May 1st for Fall acceptance and Dec. 1st for Spring acceptance. If you are interested please email
