SBCC was seeded No. 6 for the Southern Cal Regional baseball playoffs and will host No. 11 San Bernardino Valley in a best-of-3 series.

Game 1 is set for Pershing Park on Friday, May 2 at 2 p.m. Game 2 will start at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by Game 3 (if necessary) 30 minutes after the first game.

The Vaqueros (23-13) are making their fourth straight playoff appearance. They finished second in the WSC North with an 11-9 mark. WSC champion Oxnard was seeded No. 2 and the conference got four teams into the Regional. Third-place L.A. Pierce travels to No. 5 Cerritos and Hancock plays at No. 4 Palomar.

Second baseman Brett Sesma (.354) and outfielder Connor McManigal (.330) are the top hitters for the Vaqueros, who are 15-3 at home.

San Bernardino (26-10) finished in a three-way tie for first in the Foothill Conference. The Wolverines won their last four games to make the playoffs.

Outfielder Jason Wilcoxson is SBVC's leading hitter at .414. AJ David is batting .342 and ranks second in the state with 42 RBIs.

Ticket prices are $12 for an all-tournament pass (good for all 3 games), $10 for general admission and $7 for Seniors, Staff, Students with ID and Children under 12.
