Oxnard built a 4-0 lead after six innings on Saturday afternoon, then held on for a 5-3 WSC North baseball win over SBCC.
The Vaqueros (5-7, 2-2) fell to 1-4 on the road. The Condors improved to 5-8 and 2-2.
Oxnard scored three in the sixth frame to stretch the lead to 4-0. The Condors got another run in the seventh.
Nicolas Bereaud stayed hot at the plate with a two-run double in a three-run eighth for the Vaqueros. Chris Smutny drove in the other run.
Bereaud leads the WSC with eight RBIs in four games. He's third in the state with 17 RBIs for the season.
SBCC hosts first-place Cuesta (8-4, 2-0) on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
