Ryan Nelson

Ryan Nelson

Ryan is in his 3rd year as a Vaquero assistant. He graduated from Loyola High in Los Angeles and attended Southwestern College (Chula Vista, CA) and played quarterback, earning a scholarship to Northern Arizona. He finished his playing career at Tabor College (KS) and graduated with a Bachelor's in Political Science, Social Science, and History.

He spent two years as assistant coach at NCAA Div. 2 Lindenwood University (MO). Coached running backs/tight ends in his first year and was the quarterback coach in his second season. Also served as the Director of Football Operations.

Nelson married his wife, Megan (Wojtysiak) Nelson, in February, 2016. They welcomed their first child, Aurora Adelyn, on June 2, 2017.
