Moorpark built a 27-6 lead in the first 10 minutes on Wednesday and never looked back in an 88-57 men's basketball win over SBCC at the Sports Pavilion.

Tim Andreolli hit a pair of 3-pointers for the first two buckets of the WSC North game and finished with a game-high 22 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders (10-10, 2-0). Justice De Corsi added 21 points and six rebounds.

Zeke McMurtry came off the bench to produce a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in 29 minutes for the Vaqueros (3-16, 0-2). Kile Kleiner hit 4-8 from long range and added 15 points and seven rebounds.

Taylor Burns nailed a 3-pointer out top to start a 13-2 SBCC run that pulled the Vaqueros within 10 at 29-19. But the Raiders outscored the Vaqueros 18-7 in the last six minutes to take a 21-point halftime lead (47-26).

"We weren't making any shots early on and obviously, they did," said associate head coach Devin Engebretsen. "We had game-planned for them to shoot a lot of threes, they took 28 and made 12. At the end of the day, we just didn't shoot the ball well enough."

Moorpark won the shooting battle, 47.1 to 33.3% and the board battle, 46-33. The Raiders hit 12-28 from 3-point land while the Vaqueros were 9-21.

Santa Barbara pulled off a rare feat in the second half with back-to-back 4-point plays by Kleiner and Jashon Lee.

SBCC will travel to Cuesta on Saturday for a 5 p.m. contest.
