Felix Mory shot a 2-over 74 in wet conditions Sunday and SBCC is third at the midpoint of the Point Conception Invitational men's golf tournament.
Blake McPherson turned in a 76 and Jackie Chan shot 77 for the Vaqueros, who are hosting the 36-hole tourney on Sunday at par-72 Marshallia Ranch on Vandenberg AFB and Monday at La Purisima in Lompoc.
College of the Desert leads the eight-team field at 370, followed by Ventura (377), SBCC (385) and Bakersfield (389). Greg Robarge of Ventura was the first-round medalist at 2-under 70.
"It was rainy off and on the first couple of hours and the conditions were tough," said Vaquero coach Chuck Melendez. "It's a challenging golf course. There were a lot of good scores, considering the conditions."
The final round will be played Monday at La Purisima, starting at 9 a.m.
