Jonny Hogan shot 1-under 71 on Monday to win his second straight WSC men's golf tournament at Rio Bravo Country Club.

Alec Constantinides added a season-best 75 to tie for second but SBCC fell two strokes short of the winner, Canyons, on a cold and windy day in Bakersfield. Canyons posted a 386 to beat the Vaqueros by two shots and Ventura by eight.

Hogan has shot par or better in all four rounds this year. He had six birdies in tough conditions on Monday while Patton had five.

"Those were two pretty darn good scores on a tough day with difficult greens," noted coach Chuck Melendez. "Just look at today's scores compared to our last tournament (the Vaqueros shot 21 strokes higher).

"We didn't play up to our capabilities and Canyons was primed and ready to go down. We just didn't rise to the occasion."

The Vaqueros will host the Pt. Conception Open on Sunday and Monday at Marshallia Ranch and La Purisima GC.
