Felix Dine and Gabe Cloquet shot 74 and 75, respectively, on Monday as SBCC took third in WSC men's golf tournament No. 4 at River Ridge GC in Oxnard.

Dine, a freshman from Sweden, notched an eagle 2 on the par-4 sixth hole by holing out a 3-wood from 243 yards. Dine's 74 was a season-low as was Cloquet's 75.

Canyons won its third straight WSC tourney with 379 strokes. Ventura was second at 391, three strokes better than SBCC. Hancock was fourth at 402.

Corey Haase of Canyons and Joey Herrera of Ventura were the co-medalists at 2-under 70.

"The conditions got real tough on the back nine with wind gusts up to 25 mph," said SBCC coach Chuck Melendez. "We were battling the elements. It's been a little frustrating lately because we've been slumping as a team."

The Vaqueros will compete in WSC No. 5 on Monday at Bakersfield Country Club, which will also be the site of the Southern Cal Regional on May 7.
