Chaffey erupted for five goals in the final 27 minutes to beat SBCC 6-0 in a men's soccer match on Friday at Rancho Cucamonga.
The Owls (3-0-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. The Vaqueros had lots of chances but couldn't find the net.
"We were in the game and playing well," said coach John Sisterson. "We had about 10 corners and it looked like we'd score every time."
Chaffey made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute on a breakaway goal by Bryan Guzman.
"Then Mehdi (Badache) was injured and we had to change our shape," Sisterson noted. "We fell apart a little bit. Something's not quite right with us but we'll figure it out soon."
The Vaqueros travel to Taft on Tuesday for a 3 p.m. game.
