Seven players from the SBCC men's and women's soccer teams have been named to the 2015 CCCAA Academic All-State Soccer squad.
Six are from the women's team – Kaitlyn Crooker, Jaclyn Hollmer, Chiara Kehl, Hannah Martin, Karin Nordin and Gabriella Sole. Martin was SBCC's female Scholar-Athlete of the year in 2014-15 and Crooker was the female Student-Athlete of the Year.
Simon Sebbah, a sophomore from Paris, France, made All-State for the men and he's the only one who's playing for the Vaqueros this year. He's battled injuries this year and has one goal and one assist in 10 games for the Vaqueros, who are 6-3-6.
SBCC will host first-place Oxnard (9-1-1) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must have played one season of soccer with at least 24 units and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
