SBCC earned the No. 3 seed for the Southern Cal Regional men's soccer playoffs and will host No. 14 San Bernardino Valley on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Vaqueros, ranked No. 4 in the nation, went unbeaten in the regular season (15-0-4) and won the WSC North title with a 7-0-1 record. The Wolverines are 12-8-2 and champions of the Pacific Coast Conference at 10-4-2.
Santa Barbara has won five straight and the Vaqueros are 12-0-1 in their last 13. They're also 8-0-2 at home this season. SBVC is 4-1-1 in its last six games.
Both teams can put the ball in the net with San Bernardino ranked second in the state with 57 goals and the Vaqueros are No. 8 with 51. SBCC's defense has given up just 19 goals while the Wolverines have allowed 34.
SBCC's Victor Chavez is No. 9 in the state with 13 goals and 31 points. San Bernardino is led by Fred Zaragoza (13 goals, 30 points) and Tony Vallejo (11 goals, 32 points).
Ticket prices are $12 for general admission. $8 for identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children less than 12 years of age. No conference, staff, or parent booster passes will be honored.
