Six Vaqueros make All-WSC team

SBCC landed six players on the All-WSC North men's soccer team.

Sophomore midfielder Ameyawu Muntari, the leading scorer with eight goals and 22 points, was a first-team choice, along with freshman defender Neil Gillies. Muntari was the eighth-leading scorer in conference with five goals and an assist in nine games.

    2018 All-WSC North Team

Freshman defender Juan Zarate and freshman goalie Lukas Schuh made the second team. Midfielders Takahiro Fujii and Andrew Wakamiya were honorable mention.

The Vaqueros (8-6-5) finished fourth in the WSC North with a 3-5-2 record and made the Southern Cal Regional for the second straight year.

Jose Luis Reyna of Oxnard was the Player of the Year. Santa Monica's Tim Pierce and L.A. Mission's Alberto Rosas were co-Coaches of the Year.
