SBCC won the first five singles matches on Thursday to secure its first men's tennis home win with an 8-1 decision over Bakersfield at the Pershing Park courts.
Sasha Hedberg, Emerson Sekban, Ryan Chung, Derek Lipanski and Parker Turek all won in straight sets. The Vaqueros also went 3-0 in three close doubles sets.
Hedberg, the Vaqueros' No. 1 player, is 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles with Parker Turek.
Santa Barbara improved to 2-5 on the season and 2-1 in conference. Bakersfield is 5-5 and 2-1.
The Vaqueros travel to Glendale on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
