Ryan Chung received first-team All-Western State Conference honors and five of his SBCC tennis teammates also made the squad.
2016 All-WSC Tennis Teams
Chung, a freshman from Santa Barbara High, earned first-team honors at No. 4 singles. He went 6-1 in conference play.
Sasha Hedberg made the second team at No. 1 singles along with Emerson Sekban (No. 2) and Parker Turek (No. 6).
The Vaqueros three doubles teams were all second-team selections – Sekban/Andrew Tufenkian, Hedberg/Turek and Chung/Derek Lipanski.
Sekban/Tufenkian, the No. 2 seed, will play No. 3 Michael Burr/Guenter Newman of Ventura in the doubles semifinals of the WSC Tournament on Friday at Ventura at 2 p.m.
Ventura won the WSC with an 8-0 record and the Vaqueros were second at 6-2.
