Unbeaten Orange Coast tops Vaqueros, 7-2

Orange Coast downed SBCC 7-2 on Tuesday in a nonconference men's tennis match at Costa Mesa.

The Pirates (5-0) won the match by going 5-1 in singles. The Vaqueros fell to 0-2.

Spencer Ekola got both points for SBCC, cruising past Noah Prohaska 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and teaming with Emerson Sekban to take the No. 1 doubles set 8-5.

Sekban lost a tight No. 1 singles decision to Brandon Baar, 6-3, 1-6 (11-9 tiebreaker).

The Vaqueros open WSC action on Thursday when they travel to Glendale at 2 p.m.
