SBCC traveled to face an unbeaten men's tennis team for the second time in three days on Thursday and Glendale spoiled the Vaqueros' WSC opener with a 9-0 victory.

The Glendale Vaqueros improved to 6-0 and 2-0 while the SBCC Vaqueros fell to 0-3 and 0-1. Glendale swept all six singles matches and only lost 14 games.

"It's been a tough three matches on the road for us," said coach Randy Moharram. "We're happy to be back at home next week for three matches.  We just need to retain our takeaways from these three matches, regroup and keep our focus on improving.

"I'm proud of these guys for not hanging their heads and giving up. One of our team goals at the beginning of the season is to always compete no matter the score and we are showing that every time they step on the court. I respect that."

The Vaqueros will play three home matches next week vs. Bakersfield (Tuesday, 2 p.m.), Ventura (Thursday, 2 p.m.) and Fullerton (Saturday, 11 a.m.).
