Vaqueros down Saddleback 6-3 for first win

SBCC won the first two doubles points on Thursday and then took the first four singles matches to secure its first men's tennis victory of the year. The Vaqueros (1-3) knocked off Saddleback 6-3 in Mission Viejo.

Guillaume Daurelle, the Vaqueros' No. 1 player, notched points in singles and doubles as did No. 2 Arthur Scharff, No. 3 Pierre Alexandre Fumat and No. 4 Albert Chami.

Scharff and Chami took a 4-1 lead in the No. 2 doubles before Tyler Bloom and Ryan Fabre tied it up at 4-4. Scharff/Chami put together another 4-1 run to secure the 8-5 victory. Daurelle and Fumat took the No. 1 doubles 8-1.

The Vaqueros will play at Fullerton on Friday, starting at 2 p.m.
