Vaqueros rout Bakersfield 8-1 in season finale

SBCC won the first five singles on Thursday, dropping just nine games in 10 sets on the way to an 8-1 win over Bakersfield at Pershing Park.

The Vaqueros (5-8, 3-5) finish the team portion of their season in third place in the WSC. Baksfield is 6-13 and 1-7.

The Vaqueros edged the Renegades 5-4 in their first meeting on Feb. 20.

Guillaume Daurelle, Arthur Scharff, P.A. Fumat, Albert Chami and Sebastian Moenster won the first five singles points.

The Vaqueros will compete in the WSC Individual Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Ventura College.
