SBCC downed Grossmont 6-3 on Saturday morning in El Cajon, then traveled to San Diego City and dropped a 6-3 decision to the Knights.
Dominic Signorello had a superior comeback win at No. 1 against Grossmont, rallying to topple Pablo Gentile 4-6, 7-6 (2) and 10-6 in a tiebreaker. Jakob Rinschen, Ronan Casteleyn and Dominic Mariscal also posted singles wins.
San Diego City won the second match by taking five of six singles. Andres Decock was the lone winner for the Vaqueros (3-4), beating Colin Palmer at No. 2, 6-2, 7-6.
Rinschen/Casteleyn won an overtime decision at No. 2 doubles, 9-7.
The Vaqueros will play the next three at home, starting on Tuesday vs. Bakersfield at 2 p.m.
