Bakersfield beats short-handed Vaqueros, 7-2

Andres Decock posted singles and doubles wins for SBCC on Tuesday in a 7-2 men's tennis setback at Bakersfield.

The Vaqueros are 4-10 overall and 2-4 in WSC action. The Renegades improved to 3-12 and 2-3.

Decock, a freshman from Maldegem, Belgium, swept Moses Jimenez for the second time this year, 7-6 (5), 6-3. Dominic Mariscal, the only other Vaquero in the lineup, fell to Conrad Dalton 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2.

Decock/Mariscal dominated the No. 1 doubles 8-1, giving SBCC two wins in its three matches.

Santa Barbara will host L.A. Pierce in its last WSC match on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
