The SBCC men's track and field team recorded 15 season-best marks this weekend in the Occidental Distance Carnival at Eagle Rock and the Ben Brown Invitational at Cal State Fullerton.

Andy Hernandez led the way with two best marks on Saturday in the 800 (2:12.76) and 1500 (4:31.75). Alex Heuchert ran a season-best 1500 at the Occidental Distance Carnival on Friday night. His 4:03.33 is the No. 2 time in the WSC this season. Martin Montes ran a personal best of 15:45.75 in the 5000, also at Occidental. That's the fourth-best 5000 mark in the WSC this season.

Zachary Clark was second in his section of the 400 meters in 52.32 at the Brown Invitational. Dominique Dixon was second in another section in 52.78. Riley Nunes was fourth in his 200 heat in 22.95 while Clark was sixth in his heat in 23:49.

"The men are starting to round into shape and the good performances are starting to come out," said coach Scott Fickerson. "15 season-best marks are proof of that. I'm excited to see good things ahead and I'm sure the men are excited to perform well at home next week."

The Vaqueros will host the Easter Relays on Friday at La Playa Stadium, starting at 11 a.m.
