SBCC's Anton Nilsson placed fifth in the 400 hurdles in the Southern Cal Track & Field Finals on Saturday at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster.
Nilsson ran 55.02 in the 400 hurdles and qualified for the State Championships next Friday and Saturday at San Diego Mesa.
Cameron Shinn, a freshman from San Marcos High, also qualified for the State Finals by taking seventh in the triple jump at 13.95 meters (45-9¼).
Alex Ramirez was 10th in the 1500 (4:10.94) and Bradley Apodaca finished 13th in the 5000 (16:09.71).
