Scott Fickerson

Scott Fickerson

Scott starts his second year as an assistant after nine seasons as head coach of Men's and Women's Track & Field. He's also the head coach of Men's and Women's Cross Country. Fickerson was previously head coach at NCAA D3 Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks from 2001-2008.

He led the 2015 men's track squad to its first WSC title in more than 45 years and he was named Coach of the Year. Bas van Leersum won the Vaqueros' first State title in 20 years, taking the 400 hurdles in a school-record time of 52.20.

Fickerson has his Master's in Human Performance from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and did his undergrad work in Exercise Science at UC Davis. Fickerson competed in Cross Country and Track & Field for the Aggies after two seasons at Ventura College.

Born and raised in Ventura, Fickerson now resides in Santa Barbara. When he's not coaching, he can be found outdoors kite boarding, surfing, running or hiking.
