Taylor McCluskey topped the Vaqueros with 16 kills and 11 digs while middle blocker Robert Gulvin had 13 kills and hit .381. Jackson Wopat added 11 kills and a .409 percentage and Haward Gomes had nine kills and a season-high 15 digs.

Tahiarii Caldwell dug 12 balls and Misaki Cramer had 10. Jonathan Baldwin handed out 38 assists.

"We didn't pass particularly well," said coach Matt Jones. "It went in runs. We'd be in our second rotation for a while, then we kept letting them back in. Moorpark did a nice job of digging and we struggled to sideout at times."

The Vaqueros play at L.A. Trade Tech on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
