#4 SBCC takes down Santiago Canyon with a 3-0 sweep

After falling to the top two teams in the CCCAA, Santa Barbara City College men's volleyball team got back to their winning ways as they swept Santiago Canyon on the road to move to 7-3 on the year.

The Vaqueros won by scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-17. 

Haward Gomes and Kyle Skinner lead the way offensively with nine kills while Carson Schmick went in off the bench tonight and was 4 of 4 hitting and passed at a 2.5 in two sets of action.

"It was great to come back and get the victory tonight after two tough matches at the number one and two teams in the state," said head coach Jon Newton.  "Everyone traveled with us got to play tonight.  It's nice to be getting back on track as we begin to enter conference play."

The Vaqueros next game is Saturday March 10th vs Grossmont College for a 12:00 p.m. start.
