Men's Volleyball Sweeps Third Consecutive Opponent

SANTA BARBARA – The SBCC men's volleyball team stayed hot on Friday, defeating Antelope Valley in three sets, 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.

With their third consecutive sweep, the Vaqueros improve to 7-4 overall, 4-2 WSC while dropping the Marauders to 5-7 overall, 2-3 conference.

Opposite Troy Fitzgerald had a big day, tying teammate Cole Richards for a team-high seven kills. Fitzgerald also recorded a season-high six blocks.

Setter Carter Cottrell was on fire from the service line, racking up a match-best four aces to go with 19 assists.

As a team, Santa Barbara finished two blocks shy of a season-high, tallying 10. Libero Vinny Costa was second only to Fitzgerald with four blocks.

The Vaqueros will go for their fourth straight win when they travel to Santa Monica on Friday, March 24 for a 6:00 p.m. match.
