Michael Cohen finished 51st on Friday in the WSC Preview men's cross country race at the Fairbanks XC Course in San Luis Obispo.
Cohen, a sophomore from Santa Ynez High, ran 24:55. Michael Tran was 72nd in 26:17, one second ahead of teammate Carlos Castillo in 73rd. Armando Huerta placed 92nd in a time of 31:41.
Leonard McComas of Santa Monica was the individual winner, topping a field of 100 runners in 21:34 on the 4-mile course. Ricardo Torres of Oxnard was second in 21:49.
Glendale had five runners in the top 11 and ran away with the team title with 35 points. Moorpark was second in the 11-team field at 97 and Oxnard took third at 115 .
The Vaqueros will run in the Moorpark Run and Roar on Friday, Oct. 5 at 9:30 a.m.
