SBCC had three runners in the Southern Cal Preview on a hot Friday at Mission Bay Park in San Diego.

With temperatures in the low 90s, Jacob Schroder was 110th in 24:24.6 in a field of 205 runners. Ytxzae Enriquez took 136th (25:21.0) and Mark Hernandez was 182nd (28:23.4).

Bobby Brana of San Diego Mesa won the 4-mile race in 21:24.8.

San Diego Mesa topped a field of 28 teams with 52 points, four better than runner-up Mt. SAC.

"Our primary race plan was to have a positive race experience and to view the course for November's Southern Cal Championships … Mission accomplished," said SBCC coach Scott Fickerson. "We had a good outing and I'm proud of how the guys ran."

The Vaqueros will compete in the Bakersfield Invitational on Friday, Sept. 27 at Kern County Soccer Park.
