Catalina Maldonado

Catalina Maldonado

Catalina was born in Santa Barbara and raised in Carpinteria. She played four years of softball at Carpinteria High, earning County Pitcher of the Year, First-Team All League (x4), League MVP (x2), First-Team All- CIF (x2), and All-County Team (x2). Catalina also played varsity Tennis and won a CIF Championship, earning First-Team All-League in doubles play.

She received a softball scholarship to play at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla. During her time at SEU, she pitched and played first base. Catalina received First-Team NAIA All-American, First-Team NFCA All-American (x2), NAIA Scholar Athlete, NAIA All-World Series Team, First-Team All-Conference (x3) and Conference Player of the Year. Catalina had a career batting average of .345, with a record-setting 240 career hits, 35 home runs, and 194 RBIs.

Catalina graduated from SEU in 2017 with her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Religion.
