Freshman guard Aaliyah Pauling tossed in 22 points on Wednesday night and SBCC dominated the second and third quarters in a 68-55 women's basketball win at Oxnard.
The Vaqueros (10-11, 2-3 WSC North) outscored the Condors 17-6 in the second quarter to take a 27-19 halftime lead. They continued their surge in the third period with a 19-12 advantage that stretched the margin to 15 points (46-31).
SBCC doubled up Oxnard in the middle two quarters, 36-18.
Holly Barrera added 11 points and Hannah Rogers had eight points, all in the second half.
Maxine Holguin topped Oxnard (4-14, 0-5) with 15 points.
The Vaqueros open the second round of WSC North play on Saturday when they host Cuesta at 5 p.m.
