Vaqueros Blowout Ohlone for Biggest Win of 2022

FREMONT, CA – The SBCC women's basketball team claimed its largest win of the year at Ohlone on Saturday, winning 70-41 behind a huge 28-point career-high from sophomore Isabella Jensen Williams.

Jensen Williams finished 8-of-18 from the field and a perfect 12-for-12 at the free throw line. Her dominant all-around performance also saw her record game-highs of 15 rebounds, seven assists and six steals.

Sophomore point guard Brianna Jacobs reached double-figures for the second straight game with 10 points and three steals, knocking down 2-of-4 from range. Freshman center Paityn Persson finished third on the team with eight points (4-9 FG) to go with six rebounds.

The Vaqueros forced 32 turnovers and held Ohlone (4-8) to 25 percent shooting as a team and 13.3 percent (2-15 3FG) on threes. SBCC shot 37.1 percent from the field and had a season-high 18 assists. The Vaqueros also finished with a 48-35 edge in rebounds, with Jensen Williams' seven offensive boards, matching the entire opposition.
