OXNARD – The SBCC women's basketball team closed out the regular season on a high point on Friday, defeating Oxnard 68-52.

The Vaqueros (15-13, 7-5) tied for their most WSC wins since 2010-11, qualifying for SoCal Regional play for the second time in the last three seasons.

The three-point shot played a big role in SBCC downing the Condors (3-18, 0-12), as SBCC hit 10 triples to Oxnard's two. The Vaqueros hit double-digit three-pointers for the second straight game, doing so for the second time this year.

Also for the second time this season, eight different Vaqueros hit a three-pointer. Guards Kiani Rojas and Brianna Jacobs both hit a pair of treys and led the team with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

The Vaqueros dominated the glass, outrebounding Oxnard 45-28. They also had an overwhelming edge in help off the bench, outscoring the Condors 46-3 in bench points.

Sophomore Isabella Jensen Williams scored six points and tied Leila Chisholm and Paityn Persson for a team-high seven rebounds. Santa Barbara's defense shut Oxnard down, allowing just five points in the first and six in the second to take a 38-11 lead into halftime.

The Vaqueros will open postseason play in a CCCAA SoCal Regional First Round matchup at Mt. San Jacinto this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
