Jessica is in her second season as an assistant coach.
"I am thrilled to have Jessica join our staff because she brings the psychology background that will help our athletes build their mental toughness through her techniques," said coach Sandrine Krul. "Jessica is a motivator and she has the uncanning ability to make players believe they are good enough and smart enough. Jessica is the definition of female empowerment."
Valadez played for SBCC for two seasons, 2011-12 and 2012-13. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Sociology and Liberal Arts. She then earned an academic scholarship and transferred to play at Eastern Nazarene College on the East Coast, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
She will be starting her Masters program at Antioch University in Spring 2017, with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology. Valadez also serves as a Mentor for the Student Athlete Academic Mentor Program.
