Carolin Chang has been named Western State Conference Female Athlete of the Week for all fall sports in Week #5.
She was honored after winning the prestigious North-South Invitational at Morro Bay GC by seven shots on Sept. 27-28. The freshman from Taiwan shot 70 and 72 for a 36-hole total of 2-under-par 142.

Chang has been the medalist in three tourneys this year and runner-up in three others. She's shot par or better in six of nine rounds and is averaging 72.1 strokes.
The Vaqueros are 48-4 on the season and have won five tournaments, including the North-South that featured the best teams in the state.
The Vaqueros will play in WSC No. 5 on Monday at Kern River GC in Bakersfield.
