SBCC sophomore Carolin Chang fired a 1-over 73 on Monday and teammate Vanessa Watkins was the runner-up at 81 in the second WSC women's golf match at the Santa Barbara Golf Club.

The Vaqueros rolled to their fourth tournament title of the year with a score of 331. Citrus was a distant second in the seven-team field at 373.

Savanah Boss, a freshman from Kingsburg, Calif., shot 86 and Daniela Ruffo had a 91 for the unbeaten Vaqueros, who are 27-0 overall and 12-0 in the WSC.

"Carolin and a lot of the players had a tough time putting because the greens were a little fast today," said coach Chuck Melendez. "The pin placements were also tricky, so the scores were a little higher than usual."

Chang, the defending State individual champion, is averaging 71.2 strokes in five rounds this year and Watkins is averaging 77.4.

The Vaqueros will play in WSC No. 3 on Monday at Elkins Ranch in Fillmore with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.
