Lauren Calvin shot 79 on Monday and placed second in the sixth WSC women's golf tournament at Antelope Valley CC in Palmdale.
Calvin, a sophomore from Westlake High, tied her season best with a 5-over 79. SBCC teammate Stephanie Farouze was third at 82. Haruka Koda of Canyons earned her third WSC medalist honor with a 1-over 75.
Canyons won the six-team tourney at 328. The Vaqueros were second at 355 and Moorpark was third at 397.
The Cougars are unbeaten in WSC action (30-0) and hold a six-game lead over the Vaqueros (24-6) with three tourneys to play.
The Vaqueros (40-11 overall) will compete in WSC No. 7 on Monday at Simi Hills GC, starting at 11 a.m.
