Stephanie Farouze tied for fourth on Monday in WSC women's golf tournament No. 7 at Simi Hills GC in Simi Valley.
Farouze, a sophomore from Japan, carded an 80 for SBCC. Lauren Calvin and Corina Garcia shot 85 and tied for 10th. Teammate Alexa Bleth was 12th at 89.
Canyons claimed its seventh straight WSC event with a 309. The Vaqueros were 30 strokes back in second (339) and Bakersfield took third at 369.
Canyons tops the WSC standings at 35-0, followed by SBCC (28-7) and Bakersfield (19-16).
The Cougars went 1-2-3 on Monday as Jessie Lin was the medalist at 2-over 73. Haruka Koda was second at 75 and JoJo Roecker placed third with a 79, one shot ahead of Farouze and Allie Crawley of Bakersfield.
The Vaqueros will host the WSC Championships on Sunday and Monday at the Alisal River Course in Solvang. Sunday will be WSC No. 8 with tee times at 10:30 a.m. and Monday will feature WSC No. 9 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
