Pratima Sherpa fired an even-par 72 on Monday to earn her first medalist honor in WSC No. 6 at San Dimas Canyon GC.
Sherpa, a freshman from Kathmandu, Nepal, shot her second-best score of the year. Alexa Bleth shot 84 and was sixth and Marie Naud recorded a season-low 86 to tie for seventh.
Jessie Lin of Canyons was second, two shots behind Sherpa, and four-time WSC medalist Haruka Koda of Canyons was third at 75.
The Cougars captured their sixth straight WSC tourney with a 316. The Vaqueros were 14 strokes back in second (330) and the host Citrus took third at 418.
Honey Lawrie shot 88 for 10th place and Paris White shot 89 to take 11th. The Vaqueros had five players in the top 11.
Santa Barbara will play again on Wednesday in the Southern Cal Preview at Royal Vista GC in Walnut, starting at 10 a.m.
