Kaitlyn Crooker recorded her sixth two-goal game of the year on Tuesday, leading SBCC to a 3-1 women's soccer victory at Oxnard.

It was the second straight two-goal effort by Crooker, who moved into second on the WSC scoring chart with 13 goals.

The Vaqueros (9-3-4, 5-0-3) remained unbeaten in WSC action and moved into first place, one point ahead of L.A. Pierce. Pierce (5-0-2), which has played one less conference game, visits SBCC on Halloween afternoon this Friday for a first-place showdown at 1 p.m.

Emily Erwin opened the scoring in the 15th minute by taking a pass from Alex Abbott and scoring on a half-volley. Crooker made it 2-0 in the 20th minute on a close-range goal with Jackie Hollmer providing the assist.

After Oxnard (5-9-2, 2-5-1) cut it to 2-1, Crooker scored again from close range in the 29th minute.

SBCC is unbeaten in its last 10 games (7-0-3). The Vaqueros had 15 shots (eight on-goal) and took 14 corner kicks.

"We rested some people in the second half," noted coach John Sisterson. "We were very competitive and comfortable throughout the game. We were worthy of the three points."
