
SBCC scores three goals in the first 21 minutes on Friday afternoon and went on to rout Oxnard 6-0 in a WSC women's soccer match on the Condors' field.
The Vaqueros, ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 3 in the country, notched their 15th straight win and eighth straight shutout. They're 15-0-1 overall and 6-0 in conference. The Vaqueros clinched at least a tie for their third WSC North title.
Santa Barbara has outscored its last eight opponents 33-0.
Chloe Montano and Isabella Viana both had a goal and assist. Montano's PK was stopped in the 12th minute but she scored on the rebound. Viana took a pass from Montano and found the net in the 17th minute. Nicole Van Sickle made it 3-0 four minutes later with Viana providing the helper.
Katherine Sheehy and Dominique Mihaljevic added goals in the 35th and 39th minutes and the Vaqueros led 5-0 at the half.
Riley Moore scored in the 59th minute with Idalis Rodriguez getting the assist. Holly Telliard got her 13th shutout. Telliard and the defense haven't allowed a goal in 788 minutes (more than 8 1/2 games), dating back to Sept. 22.
Coach John Sisterson used all 13 of his substitutes.
"Elizabeth Estrada (a freshman from Carpinteria High) came on in the first half and did a great job at midfield," said Sisterson. "She smashed a 30-yard free kick that banged off the bar."
The Vaqueros have two games left on their conference slate – Tuesday at Ventura (7 p.m.) and Friday at Cuesta (3 p.m.).
