Four members from the SBCC women's soccer team committed to four-year schools in a signing ceremony.
Isabella Viana is going to UCSB, Holly Telliard signed with Sonoma State, Ashlee Schouten is heading to Sacramento State and Matilda Cassel Ledin will play for San Francisco State.
Viana, a sophomore forward from Antelope Valley, was named co-Player of the Year in the Western State Conference North Division. She scored 22 goals with nine assists and had seven game-winning goals.
Viana was a two-time first-team All-WSC North player who helped the Vaqueros win WSC championships the last two years. She ranks No. 4 on SBCC's single-season goal chart and she's No. 2 in career goals (41) and points (96).
The Vaqueros went 37-4-3 the last two seasons and were unbeaten in WSC play (17-0-1).
SBCC was the state runner-up in 2017 and missed making the State Final 4 for a third straight season last fall when they dropped a 1-0 Regional final in overtime at Santiago Canyon.
Telliard was also a two-time first-team all-oonference choice at goalie. She holds the school record for career shutouts with 27 and allowed just five goals in 18 WSC games.
Schouten, a transfer from Cal State Monterey Bay, scored six goals and was eighth in the state with a school-record 17 assists. She was a first-team All-WSC North pick.
Cassel Ledin is a sophomore midfielder from Motala, Sweden. She had three goals and five assists on last year's 16-3-2 squad, earning first-team All-WSC honors.
"Matilda, Holly and Bella were key members of the team over the last two years and I'm sure we wouldn't have had the success we had without them," said 14th-year coach John Sisterson. "Ashlee joined us last year and made an immediate impact on the squad with her athleticism, technique and positive attitude.
"I'm sure all four of them will do well at the universities they are transferring to and I am very proud to say I have been associated with them."
