Zionne Lee won a 3-hour, 20-minute marathon over Bailey Sindle 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-5 to give SBCC a 4-2 lead in Thursday's WSC women's tennis match at Ventura and the Vaqueros went on to post a 6-3 victory.

After Ventura (6-6, 3-4) took the No. 1 doubles, Amanda Berke and Edda von Hodenberg clinched the win with an 8-5 decision in the No. 3 doubles. Lee and Tess Kolkman rallied to win at No. 2 doubles 8-5 after trailing 5-0 to cap off the grueling victory that lasted nearly five hours. Kolkman is perfect on the year – 7-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles.

The Vaqueros (7-2, 6-1) won their seventh in a row to keep pace with Glendale atop the WSC standings. Maddie Seeds, Kolkman and Berke posted straight-set wins in singles.
