Maddie Seeds, Tyler Bunderson, Julianna Adelman and Kassandra Ortiz all won singles points on Tuesday as SBCC opened WSC play with a 9-0 women's tennis win over Santa Monica.
The Vaqueros (4-1, 1-0) captured their third straight victory in their home debut. The Corsairs didn't have enough players in their season opener, so they defaulted the last two singles and the No. 3 doubles.
Seeds also won in doubles, teaming witwh Lesly Zapata De Lira for an 8-1 win. Ortiz and Adelman combined to take the No. 2 doubles set, 8-1.
The Vaqueros travel to Ventura on Thursday for a 2 p.m. match.
