Vaqueros get back on winning track with 9-0 sweep

Maddie Seeds overcame deficits of 3-1 and 5-3 in the third set to win the No. 1 singles on Tuesday and spark SBCC to a 9-0 women's tennis victory at Santa Monica.

She rallied past Masa Petrovic 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (3). Tyler Bunderson and Julianna Adelman cruised to wins at No. 2 and 3 singles by scores of 6-0, 6-4 and 6-3, 6-1, respectively1

The Vaqueros won for the seventh time in eight matches to boost their records to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the WSC.

Kassandra Ortiz won in straight sets at No. 4 singles and teamed with Seeds to take the No. 1 doubles set, 8-5.

The second-place Vaqueros will host third-place Ventura (4-2) on Thursday at 2 p.m.
