Vaqueros hand Palomar a 7-2 setback

SBCC spotted Palomar the first two singles on Friday, then reeled off seven straight wins for a 7-2 women's tennis triumph on the road.

Tyler Bunderson (6-1, 6-2) and Julianna Adelman (6-0, 6-0) won at Nos. 3 and 4 singles and the Vaqueros won the 5 and 6 matches by default.

The Vaqueros improved to 8-5 and the Comets fell to 4-9.

Laura Berther and Lesly Zapata De Lira took the No. 1 doubles 8-2 and Bunderson/Adelman won by the same score in No. 2 doubles.

SBCC will play at San Diego Mesa on Saturday at 2 p.m.
