Peyvandi/Pulver get decisive point in 5-4 win

SBCC went 4-2 in singles on Friday and then turned to its No. 1 doubles team for the winning point in a 5-4 women's tennis decision over visiting Grossmont.

Katelyn Peyvandi and Josephine Pulver took the No. 1 doubles set, 8-3. The Vaqueros (7-2) are 4-0 in 5-4 matches this season.

SBCC won the No. 2 through 5 singles in straight sets, thanks to the play of Gabrielle Goss, Pulver, Pia Valtierra and Hanna Pesniak.

The Vaqueros return to WSC action on Tuesday with a 2 p.m. match at Antelope Valley.
