SBCC sophomore Nicole Bartlett recorded personal records in the 800 and 1500-meter races on Friday at the Orange Coast Classic women's track and field meet in Costa Mesa.
Bartlett ran 2:22.56 to take fourth in the 800 and 4:52.50 for seventh in the 1500.
Kathryn Rucker was second in the high jump (1.65 meters) while Mia Owens was fourth in the steeplechase in a personal-best time of 12:25.91. Kodie Hebert took fourth in the javelin at 31.95m.
"We had a lot of strong marks out of the middle distance runners, highlighted by Nicole's double PRs," said coach Scott Fickerson. "The strong headwinds really slowed the times for the short sprints."
The Vaqueros will take the next two weeks off, then head to College of the Canyons for the WSC Prelims on April 18.
