Olivia Loy ran a pair of season bests on Saturday in the Ben Brown Invitational women's track and field meet at Cal St. Fullerton. The meet was held in 90-degree temperatures and featured four-year schools USC, Pepperdine, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Fresno State and Cal St. Fullerton as well as Community Colleges and unattached competitors.

Loy, a freshman from Anamosa, Iowa, sprinted to the 8th-best time in school history in the 100 (12.62) and the 7th-best mark in the 200 (25.55). Anyel Thomas ran a season-best of 13.27 in the 100 and Marla Bonser posted another season-best with her 26.73 clocking in the 200.

"The conditions were really good for the sprints, jumps and throws," said coach Scott Fickerson. "We had some athletes really take advantage of the great competition and the weather. The sprinters really came to run today."

The Vaqueros will host the Easter Relays on Friday in La Playa Stadium, starting at 11 a.m.
