Olivia Loy was fourth in the State 200, running the 2nd-fastest time in school history, and fifth in the 400 in 56.69, the No. 3 all-time mark.

Olivia Loy grabbed a fourth and a fifth in the CCCAA State Women's Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the College of San Mateo.

The freshman from Anamosa, Iowa, was fourth in the 200, earning All-American status with her 25.19 clocking. The top four in each event were named All-Americans.

Loy was fifth in the 400 with a PR of 56.69, the No. 3 all-time mark at SBCC. She ran four spots faster than her pre-race seeding of ninth in the 400 and she was three places better in the 200.

The 4 x 100 relay team of Anyel Thomas, Loy, Marla Bonser and Jessica Escalante finished sixth and broke their own school record with a 47.76 clocking. They were just 0.68 of a second behind the winner, Mt. SAC.

Escalante also received All-American honors after finishing fourth in the javelin, the first event on Friday's opening day.

"The women had a great couple of days," said coach Scott Fickerson. "All of them improved on their seed coming into the meet. We had three personal bests, two All-Americans and 17 points (for 16th place). What's not to be proud of?"
